Morning training

During an early morning running session, Noah Jay found a rainbow lorikeet on the road, unable to fly. He thought that it may have been hit by a car, so he caught the bird and took it to Currumbin Wildlife Hospital. Later that day, the Wildlife Hospital informed Noah that the lorrikeet was suffering from Psittacine beak and feather disease, a contagious virus which causes feather and beak abnormalities.

Unfortunately, it had to be euthanised to prevent the virus from spreading to other birds.

Thank you for caring Noah:)
