The upcycled garden

This unused corner of our backyard turned into a family up-cycling competition during a council clean up several weeks ago. We found drums from retired washing machines and dryers, that became planters for flowers and climbing beans. In our hunt for treasure, we were especially happy to find the little green canoe for our new herb garden! Together, we painted our reverse garbage, and filled it with soil. The boys enjoyed choosing the plants that would go into the garden after their hard work. Last but not least, we brought home some sand to fill in the ground space and it now doubles as a sand pit! The boys enjoy driving their dump trucks - full of water - through the sand and delivering it to the thirsty plants!

Have you been busy up-cycling in your home? We would really like to see your completed projects. we look forward to hearing from you!
